Expanded Description: The Translation Note Writer (TNW) for the unfoldingWord Literal Text (ULT) Old Testament will use his or her knowledge and experience with translation issues to write brief notes that will assist translators of the OT to appropriately handle translation issues in the text. Some translationNotes (tNs) for the ULT OT already exist, but many essential translation issues have not been addressed. In order for the uW tools to be truly useful for translators, the Notes need to be improved and augmented. The TNW must be acutely aware of the issues that a translator will face when translating the Old Testament into other languages. Therefore he or she needs to have training and experience in Bible translation and skill in Biblical Hebrew. The TNW will write a Note according to the tN guidelines for each translation problem encountered in the text that has not been addressed. The TNW will work in coordination with others on the team to write tNs that are consistent in format, style, and quality.
